A Larco Electric Water Cooler with Built-in TasteMaster Filter

Bottler Water Cooler
Vs
Larco EWC with Built-In Water Filter
Storage Space for Supplies Plenty, each bottle (empty or full) requires approx. 1 cu. Ft. of storage space plus storage for paper cups. About 1 cu. Ft. of space for a year's worth or elements per cooler and another for (1) backup cooling insert.
Maintenance Daily as bottles need to be replaced and cooler should be flushed with chlorine monthly. Monthly change of filter element to ensure fresh tasting water.
Overall Cost (see details below) About $38 per person per year based on $6.00 per 5 gal. Bottle and each person consuming (4) 4 oz. Cups daily for 253 days per year. No more than the cost of your usual city water plus the cost of 12 replacement filter elements per cooler
Water Purity At discretion of bottler At discretion of building owner
Availability Depends on full bottle inventory. Someone must maintain that inventory to ensure that there is always bottled water available. Always available, even if cooling inserts were to fail, occupants would enjoy filtered water, it just wouldn't be chilled.
